PERSONAL WORK

Summer of '69

(Co-director/Cinematographer/Editor/Composer - 2015)
Starting in 2013, I began working on my first major film project - Summer of '69. I co-directed the project with my good friend Ellen Steves and her theater company, BOOM! Theater. We shot most of the film in a ghost town in Central Washington. The film was accepted into several film festivals including the Hudson Valley International Film Festival and Northwest Film Forum's Local Sightings Film Festival (where it won 'Best Original Score').

Ed, Downloaded

(Video Designer - Washington Ensemble Theatre - 2014)
In 2014 I worked with Seattle's Washington Ensemble Theater to create the video designs for a production called Ed, Downloaded. From both a technical and artistic perspective, it was one of the most ambitious projects I've ever worked on. The video design aspects of the production involved many video shoots(shot with GoPro cameras to obtain a first-person perspective), the implimentation of some very elaborate specials effects, and the implementation of multiple projected elements on stage that the actors interacted with.

Returning to Albert Joseph

(Video Designer - Satori Group - 2014)
In 2014, I also created video elements for Satori Group's production of Returning to Albert Josephin Seattle. The video elements were projected full-sized against the stage and actors.

FORM

(Filmmaker - 2012)
I created this short film in collaboration with a dancer/choreographer friend of mine, Matt Drews. The filming and dance were improved - I then later edited together the footage to a music track ("Glue Stick" by Schlohmo) that we both felt went well with the footage.

La Plage ("The Beach")

(Filmmaker/Composer - 2009)
La Plage was part of a series of three short film I created as part of my senior thesis at Cornish College of the Arts. All three films were short on Super8, and were accompanied by music composed by myself.

Birdsong

(Animator/Composer - 2009)
Birdsong is a short animation I created during my time at Cornish College of the Arts. Everything was hand drawn and then photographed. I did the "painting" in photoshop and put it all together in Adobe Premiere. I wrote and performed the music myself.

Variations on a Memory

(Filmmaker/Composer - 2008)
Variations on a Memory was the first film I short on Super8. The film is accompanied by a piece for piano that I composed for the film.
